On July 3, RA Government approved draft amendments to the RA Law “On Advertising”, on its consecutive session. The draft proposes to Armenian radio and TV companies to comply with current restriction of advertising time – no more than 14 minutes per hour, not on average per day, but for each broadcasted hour strictly.
In other words, if before the amendments broadcasters could redistribute advertising time by taking advantage of so-called “quiet” hours and placing lots of advertisements during “prime time”, there will no longer be such a chance, in case the amendments are adopted by the parliament. The draft law was submitted to the National Assembly of Armenia.
