On November 5 the National Assembly of Armenia passed the draft law “On Lotteries” in the first reading as well as voted for the appropriate amendments to the Laws “On State Duty” and “On Advertising” in the first hearing. The changes of the first law stipulate a fourfold, as compared to the existing size, increase in the annual state duty on the organization of lotteries – 100 mln drams (about 0 thousands). As to the amendments to the Law “On Advertising”, they introduce a limit on the broadcasting of lottery commercials: not more than 12 minutes in a 24-hours TV air and not more than 90 seconds during an hour. In this way the deputies try to put an end to the lottery overflow on the Armenian air.
