On February 20 the Chamber of the Criminal and Military Cases of the RA Court of Cassation left enforced the sentences of Armen Sargsian, Felix Arustamian and Gegham Shakhbazian, recognized guilty in the murder of Tigran Naghdalian, the Chairman of the Council of Public TV and Radio Company, committed on December 28, 2002. Thus, the body of supreme jurisdiction of the country confirmed the ruling of the Court of Appeals of January 20, 2004, that failed to satisfy the appeals of the convicts above. As it has been reported, on November 18 last year the court of primary jurisdiction sentenced Armen Sargsian, as the orderer of the crime, to 15 years’ imprisonment , Felix Arustamian – as an accomplice in the crime – to 12 year’s imprisonment, Gegham Shakhbazian – as a crime organizer – to 11 years’ imprisonment (see details in YPC Weekly Newsletter, November 14-27, 2003).
