On March 21 at the session of the National Commission on Television and Radio
a decision was made to announce broadcast licensing competitions in a number
of Armenian regions on March 22.
Two packages are introduced at the competitions.
The first package includes 17 UHFs in different cities of the country: 34th
in Vedi, 48th in Jermuk, 28th in Sevan, 26th in Gyumri, 27th in Hrazdan, 28th
in Aparan, 45th in Ararat, 33rd in Vardenis, 25th in Vanadzor, 21st in Stepanavan,
55th in Abovian, 53rd in Noyemberian, 25th in Ijevan, 21st in Dilijan, 24th
in Sisian, 35th in Goris and 25th in Kapan. Presently the broadcast license
for these frequencies is held by “Akn” TV company.
The second package is made up of 9 FMs: 105.2 in Areg village, 104.6 in Vedi,
107.3 in Yeghegnadzor, 106.8 in Zovashen, 107.2 in Vanadzor, 103.6 in Gyumri,
103.9 in Vayk, 104.4 in Fantan and 103.2 at Sevan Pass. Currently, the license
for these frequencies is held by “ArRadioIntercontinental” company.
The deadline for the applications expires on June 20, 2005. The bids will be
considered by the National Commission on July 1, 2005.
At the session of March 21 changes were introduced into the list of frequencies
managed by NCTR: two UHFs were added – 44th in Chiva village and 40th in Rind
village.
