On December 15 in Yerevan the results of 4th “Arevatsaghik” (“Sunflower”) competition
were announced. The competition was held by “Huysi Kamurj” (“Bridge of Hope”)
and Armenian branch of Danish “Mission East” organizations with the assistance
of the Denmark Agency for International Development. In the competition with
a slogan of “Equal Opportunities” pieces dealing on people with disabilities
and published/aired on November 20, 2005 – November 20, 2006 took part.
In “Best TV Piece” nomination the first prize was scored by Gohar Manukian
(“Hailur” newscast of the Public Television of Armenia), the second – by Kristineh
Karslian (Second Armenian TV Channel), the third – by Nelly Danielian (“Yerkir-Media”
TV company).
The first prize for the best article was granted to Marianna Grigorian (ArmeniaNow
online weekly), the second – to Gayaneh Sargsian (“Vanadzorian Khchankar”, Lori
region), the third – to Susanna Margarian (“Azg” daily).
The only winner in “Best Radio Program” nomination was Hasmik Smbatian (“MaxLiberty”
program for youth of the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Armenian Service).
An prize of encouragement was granted to Anahit Tsaturian (“Gortsarar Tiezerk”
weekly). A special prize was received by Arzuman Harutiunian (“Art Site Studio”)
– for the artistic expressiveness of the PSA on the rights of the disabled.
