“FACE OF THE COUNTRY”: THE PRE-ELECTION TV DEBATE

Since April 11 at “Yerkir-Media” TV channel a new program cycle titled “Face
of the Country” was launched. The cycle is produced under Yerevan Press Club
project supported by the Public Affairs Section of the US Department of State.
“The Face of the Country” talk shows are TV debates between representatives
of the parties/bloc, running for seats at the RA National Assembly. The TV debates
will be held during the period of the official promotion. The TV debates participants
are also 10 members of each party, asking questions to their opponents, and
the audience. The program host is the Chief Editor of “Aravot” daily Aram Abrahamian.

“Face of the Country” will be aired on “Yerkir-Media” till May 9, on Mondays,
Wednesdays, and Fridays, at 21.00.

On April 11 a TV debate was held between the Communist Party of Armenia, represented
by the Bureau member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Armenia
Ashot Papian, and the Social Democratic Hnchak Party, represented by its leader
Lyudmila Sargsian.

The next “Face of the Country” program will be aired on “Yerkir-Media” on Friday,
April 13, at 21.00.

“Face of the Country” is also broadcast by a number of regional companies
of “Hamaspyur” TV network.
