On October 22 hearings on “The Broadcasting Digitalization Process and the Consequences of Its Implementation in Armenia” were held at RA National Assembly. Nerses Eritsian, RA Minister of Economy, presented the strategy of the digital broadcast implementation. CoE expert James Briggs’ report was upon the practice of digitalization and solution of real-world problems in other countries. Another CoE expert, Alec Thomas, spoke about the utilization of the UHF spectrum in the Republic of Armenia. The final presentation on ensuring pluralism and control in terms of broadcast digitalization was presented by Grigor Amalian, Chairman of RA National Commission on Television and Radio.
