On May 30, after 4 months break, “Zhamanak” daily renewed its publication. The edition had stopped since January 27, 2001, out of necessity to bring its legal status in conformity with the requirements of the RA Civil Code and re-register with the Ministry of Justice (see details in YPC Weekly Newsletter, January 27 – February 2, 2001). The new founder and publisher of the newspaper is “Zhamanak” Ltd.
During the idle time the daily, as it had been planned, changed its address and is currently located at the House of Press, neighboring with most of the Yerevan print media. “Zhamanak” also changed its leader: Armen Hovakimian is presently the acting Chief Editor (previously the Chief Editor was Ara Galoyan). The print circulation of 1500 copies and the volume of 8/A3 pp. remained unchanged.
