On December 6-8 in Tsaghkadzor a seminar "Media and the State under a Modern Democracy", organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the Center of Legal and Political Research "Concord", was held. The seminar brought together representatives of media, journalistic associations and human rights organizations of Armenia. The presentation of the Councilor of the faction of Free Democratic Party of Germany in Bundestag Michael Link was devoted to the modern information field of Germany and the role of media during the elections. The expert of Yerevan Press Club Mesrop Harutyunyan presented the relations of the state and media in the context of Armenian legislation. The President of the National Press Club Narineh Mkrtchian spoke about the information wars in the Armenian media, and the President of the Foreign Correspondents Association Tigran Hovhannisian described the role of the foreign media in the post-Soviet countries.
