GAGIK BUNIATIAN APPOINTED AS PTA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

On September 25 the Council of Public TV and Radio Company of Armenia summed up the results of the competition for the vacant position of the Executive Director of Public Television of Armenia (PTA). As it has been reported, the competition was announced on September 8, 2010 (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, September 3-9, 2010). There were four candidates for the position of PTA Executive Director: Gagik Buniatian, who earlier ran “Hay TV” company and was appointed as PTA General Producer in the beginning of September; Vitaly Avanesov, who worked in the public broadcasting system until 2009 (later he refused of his candidacy); Lavrenty Mirzoyan, the Pro-Rector of Khachatur Abovian Armenian State Pedagogical University (earlier he was the Head of State Language Inspection of RA Ministry of Education and Science), and Zhasmena Ghevondian, Chairwoman of “Neruzh” NGO.

The winner of the competition became Gagik Buniatian.
