On February 27 the RA Court of Cassation left the decision of the RA Commercial Court on the suit of “A1+” TV company founder, “Meltex” LLC, versus the National Commission on Television and Radio unchanged. As it has been reported, on January 21 the Commercial Court did not secure the demand of “A1+” to annul the decision of the National Commission on granting “Cinemax” LLC a broadcast license for 63rd UHF in Yerevan (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, January 17-22, 2004). “A1+”, also a participant in the competition for the frequency, motivated its demand saying the application of “Cinemax” (broadcasts the programs of “EuroNews” TV channels and of “ArmNews” TV company) contained false information (see details in YPC Weekly Newsletter, November 14-27, 2003).
