On October 12 in Gyumri the first issue of the "Gyumri-Asparez" daily was released. The newspaper is founded by "Asparez" Journalists Club of Gyumri (www.asparez.am) and headed by Levon Barseghian, Board Chairman of "Asparez". The financial assistance to enhance the daily is provided by the Open Society Foundations-Armenia. "Gyumri- Asparez" is published in 8/A3 pp with a print run of 500 copies.
"Gyumri-Asparez" became the first regional daily in Armenia.
