On November 14-16 in Tsaghkadzor the first Mass Media Forum Armenia-Diaspora was held. Representatives of 160 media from different countries of the world took part in the Forum. The meeting participants discussed the cultural and educational functions of Armenian media, problems faced by them. At the wrap-up of the Forum it was decided to continue the discussion of the possibilities for creating a unified Armenian information filed by e-mail correspondence. It was also decided to create a regularly updated Armenian media data base. These activities during the period before the second Forum, scheduled for next year, will be made by a special task force.
