On December 15 the Football Federation of Armenia summed up the results of
the past year and awarded the best sportsmen, also media and journalists. Awards
“For the Best Work with Young Journalists” was granted to the head of sports
programs department of the Public Television of Armenia Slava Sargsian. The
award “To the Best Commenter” was conferred on the sports commenter of “Kentron”
TV company Karo Poghosian. The prize “For Promoting Football in Photographs”,
established for the first time, was awarded to the photojournalist of “Arminfo”
news agency Hakob Berberian. Awards were also granted to “Shoghakat”, “Yerevan”
TV companies and the Second Armenian TV Channel, which provided regular coverage
of football events throughout 2004.
