On June 10-13 in Istanbul a working meeting was organized by Yerevan Press
Club and “Yeni Nesil” Journalists Union of Azerbaijan. The meeting was held
under “Journalist Initiative: Follow-up” project, supported by the OSI Network
Media Program. At the meeting the results of the monitoring of Armenian, Azerbaijani
and Turkish media coverage of relations between the three countries and other
regional researches, recently conducted by the two partner organizations, were
presented. Together with Turkish journalists the issues of Turkey’s European
integration and the impact of the process on the situation in the region were
considered. The meeting participants from Armenian side also visited the editorial
office of “Hurriyet” daily, where the prospects of Armenian-Turkish relations
were discussed with its representatives.
