On June 13 on evening air of the Second Armenian TV Channel twenty-ninth “Press
Club” show was issued. The cycle is organized by Yerevan Press Club under a
homonymous project, supported by the OSI Network Media Program.
The subject for the discussion of the representatives of leading media and journalistic
associations of Armenia was the construction of new highway Armenia-Iran in
the context of economic benefits of the project and the possible environmental
danger. By the forecast of “Press Club” participants, the priority events for
the Armenian media this week will be the extraordinary session of the RA National
Assembly, where, in particular, the amendments to the RA Constitution will be
considered with regard to the proposals of the Council of Europe Venice Commission,
as well as the parliamentary elections to be held in Mountainous Karabagh on
June 19. In the opinion of the program participants, the media will continue
to analyze the issues of Armenia-Iran highway.
