On October 26-28 in Yerevan international seminar “Democracy Monitoring and
Advocacy Strategy” was held. The event was organized by the Open Society Institute
Assistance Foundation Armenia in partnership with Yerevan Press Club and Helsinki
Committee of Armenia. The presentations made at the seminar by different international
and local experts touched on various types of monitoring and activities promoting
advocacy in such spheres as human rights, elections and media. At the seminar
YPC representatives spoke, too. The presentation of YPC Expert Mesrop Harutiunian
was dealing with the enhancement of democratic reforms through monitoring. YPC
Project Coordinator Anna Simonian presented the methodologies of media monitoring,
administered by Yerevan Press Club.
