On September 17 at the Yerevan “Moscow” Cinema the photo exhibition “Armenia:
15 Years of Independence” opened. The exhibition was organized by “Armenpress”
news agency. Over 100 works by 15 photo journalists tell about the stages of
independent Armenia’s development. A presentation of a homonymous photo album,
published in Armenian, Russian and French languages with the financial assistance
of the RA Government, was also held. The exhibition, under the title of “Through
the Eyes of Armenian Photographers” was previously presented in Moscow within
“Year of Armenia in Russia”; it is also planned for show under “Year of Armenia
in France”. The exposition “Armenia: 15 Years of Independence” will be on till
September 24.
On the same day, September 17, at the square of Charles Aznavour, in front
of “Moscow” Cinema, another exhibition opened – “Shushi in pictures”. The mobile
exposition in the open air is organized by “Shushi Revival” public charity fund.
26 works by the Editor-in-Chief of the photo service of “Arminfo” news agency,
the photo correspondent of “Golos Armenii” newspaper Hakob Berberian depict
the current situation in the city of Mountainous Karabagh that used to be one
of the cultural and educational centers of Caucasus. Till October 2 the exhibition
will move around various open sites of Yerevan.
