On January 13 “GALA” TV company of Gyumri announced that from now on its activities
will be monitored by an internal ombudsman. This function will be performed
by Vahan Tumasian, the head of the Center of Development of Political Culture
and Agreements “Shirak”. The priorities of “GALA” ombudsman include the establishment
and maintenance of contacts between the TV company and its audience.
“GALA” TV company has thus become the first Armenian media to introduce an
internal ombudsman institute – an independent mediator between media and viewers/listeners/readers.
