COMPETITION IN COMMEMORATION OF RUBEN MANGASARIAN

The Foundation for Assistance to Independent Media, “3 Million” magazine and
“168 Zham” newspaper have announced the photo competition “Wondrous Armenia”.
The competition is announced in commemoration of one of the Armenian best photojournalists
Ruben Mangasarian, who unexpectedly passed away on March 21, 2009 at the age
of 49. On July 2 in a piece about the competition “168 Zham” newspaper cited
Ruben Mangasarian who used to say: “One life is not enough to capture the whole
beauty of Armenia.”

All the interested persons, both professional and amateur photographers, can
participate in the competition “Wondrous Armenia”. There are no thematic restrictions,
either. The only condition: the photos should be taken in Armenia and not until
2008.

For the qualifying round the photos can be sent in a small-resolution (150
dpi) and 800-1000 px (height) to the following e-mail: [email protected]

The photos are accepted from July 1 till August 20, 2009.

The winners will be known in September 2009.
