Since August 24 "Prometheus" TV company started to broadcast in Mountainous Karabagh in full capacity. As Yerevan Press Club was told by "Prometheus", this was achieved owing to the fact that the frequency where the viewers of MK watched the programs of another Armenian company, "Armenia", had recently been vacated. "Armenia" TV, being a UHF channel, used to broadcast beyond the borders of the country, in particular, in CIS and Karabagh, using satellite. Starting from August 1 "Armenia" stopped the satellite broadcasts. As to "Prometheus", this company and the Public Television of Armenia, also operating on VHF, are currently the only two TV stations in Armenia that are able to put their signals through to Karabagh using the transmitters installed in Goris and Shushi.
