THE FOUNDER OF “A1+” TV COMPANY CHALLENGES THE DECISIONS OF THE PRIMARY JURISDICTION COURT

The founder of “A1+” TV company, "Meltex" LLC, has challenged the decision of the RA Commercial Court at the Chamber of Civil and Commercial Cases of the RA Court of Cassation. On April 25 the primary jurisdiction court has revoked the suit of "Meltex" versus the National Commission on Television and Radio demanding to annul the decisions of the National Commission on holding competitions for licensing TV and radio broadcasting (see details in YPC Weekly Newsletter, April 27 – May 3, 2002). The case hearings at the Court of Cassation should commence on June 14.

The founder of "A1+" has also challenged another decision of the Commercial Court, which has revoked the suit of "Meltex" versus "Television Network of Armenia" SCJSC on May 17 (the National Commission on Television and Radio was summoned to the process as a co-respondent). As it has already been reported, the plaintiff demanded to annul the decision of the "Television Network of Armenia" to stop the broadcasting of "A1+" programs, made on April 2 based on the letter of the National Commission (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, May 4-10, 2002).
