On August 23 upon the initiative of "Asparez" Journalists’ Club the Code of Ethics of journalists working in Gyumri (Shirak region) was adopted. The document united the journalists of local media and the correspondents of 14 Yerevan media in Shirak region. The Code, developed in 5 months’ time, stipulates the main principles for journalistic activity – the responsible treatment of the information disseminated, differentiation of fact and opinion, respect to human rights and fundamental freedoms, unacceptability of censorship, public service, etc.
