“I Said it and Relieved My Soul” is the collection of selected works by well-known journalist Aydin Morikian, recently published in “Nairi” printing house. The book includes articles, appeared in national press within 1980-2009. The author had selected and prepared the materials himself, yet, before he could publish the book, he suddenly passed away on May 19, 2009. This was done by his friends. The Deputy Chief Editor of “Avangard” newspaper since 1987, in 1990 Aydin Morikian headed (for seven years) “Hayastani Hanrapetutiun”, the daily of the first parliament of independent Armenia. In the middle of 90s he was the RA Deputy Minister of Information, since 2000 – Chief Editor of a number of print media. During his last years Aydin Morikian, nominee of Yerevan Press Club Annual Award – for creating manuals on journalism (2007), taught to the future journalists.
On July 8 at RA National Library “I Said it and Relieved My Soul” was presented; as well as two other posthumously published books: Aydin Morikian’s “Lonely Old Man Searching for a Companion” and “The Uncompleted Prayer”, a collection of poems by Western Armenian poet Zahrat, compiled by Aydin.
