On June 11 the National Commission on Television and Radio publicized the results of the broadcast licensing competition, announced on May 3, 2003. As reported earlier, three frequencies were introduced to the competition, one which was claimed also by "A1+" TV company, deprived of air since April 2 last year. The attempt of "A1+" to resume broadcasting fell flat: by the voting of the National Commission, the bid of "A1+" scored 23 units, while that of "Armenia" TV company scored 36. Thus, the latter retained the right to broadcast on the 25th UHF in Yerevan.
The license for the 32nd UHF of Charentsavan remained taken by "Lusalik" TV company that had no rivals.
As to Gyumri FM 104.1 MHz, challenged by "Shant" radio company and "Asparez" Journalists’ Club, "Shant" will continue operating on the frequency.
