On the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Armenian Independence (celebrated on September 21) RA President Serzh Sargsian awarded medals and conferred titles to a number of media representatives.
The medals “For Services Provided to the Country” were awarded to: Stepan Poghosian and Henrikh Hovhannisian, Chief Advisors to the Chairman of the Council of Public Television and Radio Company, and Artem Sargsian, Chief Editor of “Armenia” TV company.
“Movses Khorenatsi” medals were conferred to: Merujan Ter-Ghulanian, writer and publicist, Manya Ghazarian, Director of “Shoghakat” TV company, Nuneh Aleksanian, correspondent of First Channel of Public Television of Armenia, anchor Levon Paronian, Alisa Kalantarian, Chief Editor of Music Programs of Public Radio of Armenia, Hrach Keshishian, General Director of “ATV” TV company.
The title of “Culture Worker Emeritus of the Republic of Armenia” was granted to Susanna Shahinian, author and host of the “Music Box” program of Public Television of Armenia.
