The court of primary jurisdiction of Center and Nork Marash communities of Yerevan has completed hearings on the murder of Tigran Naghdalian, the Chairman of the Council of RA Public TV and Radio Company, committed on December 28, 2002. At the sessions of November 10-11, the court gave the floor to the defendants and their attorneys. As it has been reported, earlier the prosecution made a speech (see detail in YPC Weekly Newsletter, October 31 – November 6, 2003). According to the relatives of the murdered journalist, the sentences proposed by the prosecutors for the main participants of the crime are lenient. What verdict will be reached is a matter of near future, meanwhile the judge has retired to the decision room.
