On November 22 on the evening air of the Second Armenian TV Channel the fifth
“Press Club” show was issued. The cycle is organized by Yerevan Press Club under
“Strengthening Democracy in South Caucasus by Free Expression” project, implemented
jointly with “Article 19” international organization with the support of Open
Society Institute.
The heads of the leading media and journalistic associations of Armenia discussed
the issue of freedom of expression and privacy. The second topic was the draft
state budget for the next year and its discussion at the National Assembly that
was at the focus of the media attention during the past week. The show participants
also touched upon the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine on November
21, as an important event that would most probably give rise to comments in
the Armenian press.
