On March 7 on the evening air of the Second Armenian TV Channel the fifteenth
“Press Club” show was issued. The cycle is organized by Yerevan Press Club under
a homonymous project, supported by the OSI Network Media Program.
The heads of the leading media and journalistic associations of Armenia spoke
about the incident that occurred on March 2 at one of the Yerevan universities:
the student, previously dismissed for poor performance, shot at the faculty
dean with a gas pistol. The “Press Club” participants tried to analyze the reasons
of what happened in the context of the present-day climate in the sphere of
education and the society in general. By the forecast of the program participants,
this week the Armenian media will focus on the problem of Karabagh conflict
resolution, the parliamentary elections in Moldova and March 8, the Women’s
Day.
