TWENTY-FIFTH “PRESS CLUB” SHOW

On May 16 on the evening air of the Second Armenian TV channel the twenty-fifth
“Press Club” show was issued. The cycle is organized by Yerevan Press Club under
a homonymous project, supported by the OSI Network Media Program.

The subject for discussion of the heads of leading media and journalistic associations
of Armenia was the visit of the US President George Bush to Georgia. By the
forecast of the program participants, the main event this week will be the Warsaw
summit of the CE member-countries, in particular, the meeting of the RA President
Robert Kocharian with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliev during the summit.
In the opinion of “Press Club” participants, the media will also focus on several
other relevant themes: the preparations for celebrating the First Republic Day
on May 28; constitutional reforms in the context of adoption of the draft amendments
to the Main Law by the RA National Assembly in the first hearing; the start
of pre-election campaign for the parliament of Mountainous Karabagh; the preparation
for elections of several community heads in Yerevan.
