COURT OF CASSATION CONFIRMED THE RULING ON “A1+” EVICTION

On May 26 the RA Court of Cassation declined the suit of “Meltex” LLC, the founder of “A1+” TV company, challenging the ruling of the RA Commercial Court on vacating the premises, occupied by the TV company in one of the Yerevan buildings. As it has been reported, on April 11 the Commercial Court secured the appropriated suit of the National Science Academy versus the “A1+” founder (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, April 8-14, 2005).

On May 27 “Ayb-Feh” newspaper reported that the notification on the date of the session at the Court of Cassation was delivered to “A1+” editorial office only in the morning of May 26 that is an hour before the hearing started. Thus, the newspaper stresses, the ruling of the court of supreme jurisdiction was read in the absence of “A1+” representative.
