“CASE N…” AVAILABLE FOR JOURNALISTS

On November 4 the RA Human Rights Defender Larisa Alaverdian met with journalists,
specialized in reporting on human rights practices. Larisa Alaverdian informed
the representatives of the “fourth estate” about opening of “Case N…” section
on the web-site of the Human Rights Defender, www.ombuds.am, where appeals solved
or under consideration will be placed. In the opinion of the Ombudsman, the
materials can be an information source for conducting journalistic investigations,
also jointly with the Human Rights Defender Institute. Besides, the web site
will be publishing the official letters of the Ombudsman to the heads of state
structures and local self-administration bodies on the issues of public importance.

As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Human Rights Defender’s
Office reports, such informal meetings with journalists are to be regularly
held.
