“AZDARAR” AWARD WINNERS

On October 14 at the Journalists Union of Armenia “Azdarar” award ceremony was held. The award was established in 2004 by the Journalists Union of Armenia and the members of the JUA “Gold Pen” Awardees’ Club, celebrating the Day of Armenian Press on October 16 (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, October 8-14, 2004).

”Azdarar” winners in 2005 were:

Julietta Martirosian (Chief Editor of “Avangard” newspaper) – in “Periodical Press” nomination;

Fahrad Apujanian (Chief Editor of “Lusardzak” newspaper of Spitak) – in “Regional media” nomination;

Manuk Muradian (Editor of “Karot” Creative Group of the Public Television of Armenia) – in “TV Journalism” nomination, for “Karot” (“Longing”) TV program cycle;

Gohar Martikian (Editor of Public Radio of Armenia) – in “Radio Journalism” nomination, for “Aprelu Banadzev” (“Formula of Life”) program cycle;

Hakob Berberian (photo correspondent of “Golos Armenii” newspaper) – in “Photo Journalism” nomination, for the creation of photo chronicle of Karabagh War.
