On October 27-29 in Yerevan “Covering Diversity: making the Difference” seminar
was held by the London-based Media Diversity Institute. The event was organized
under MDI “Minority Empowerment and Media Development in South Caucasus” program
supported by European Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands.
The trainers on the seminar were Milica Pesic (MDI Director, UK) and Elina Poghosbekian
(Editor of Yerevan Press Club Weekly Newsletter). The seminar participants –
15 representatives of Armenian media – interactively discussed the principles
of diverse reporting on various minorities and socially vulnerable groups of
society, the interaction and the possible cooperation ways of the “fourth estate”
and “third sector”, in particular, minority NGOs.
