NCTR EXPANDED THE FREQUENCY LIST

On July 29 at the session of the National Commission on Television and Radio changes were introduced into the list of frequencies, intended for broadcasting in Armenia. The following UHFs are now included in the list: 39th of Gyumri, 53rd of Hrazdan, 37th of Spitak, 46th of Goris, 40th of Kapan, 33rd of Sisian, 39th of Stepanavan. It was also decided to change the broadcast frequency of "Ulis Media" LLC from FM 90.3 MHz of Yerevan to FM 90.2 MHz. As YPC was informed by the National Commission, the replacement was made for technical reasons, due to constant clutter on the air. As it has been reported, the broadcast license was granted to “Ulis Media” through the competition of December 27, 2005, the results of which were announced by NCTR on May 25, 2006 (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, May 19-25, 2006). Besides, NCTR granted a license for cable broadcasting in Yerevan to “Interactive TV” LLC.
