The “Face of the Country” program cycle continues on the evening air of “Yerkir-Media”
TV company. The cycle is produced under Yerevan Press Club project supported
by the Public Affairs Section of the US Department of State. As it has been
reported, the TV debate cycle between the representatives of parties/bloc, running
for seats at the RA National Assembly, was launched on April 11 and will be
aired by “Yerkir-Media” throughout the official promotion campaign (till May
9). The debates also involve 10 members from each party, asking questions to
their opponent, and the audience. The program is hosted by the Chief Editor
of “Aravot” daily Aram Abrahamian (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, April
6-12, 2007 and April 13-19,
2007).
On April 20 the debates were held between the head of “Democratic Way” party,
the RA National Assembly deputy Manuk Gasparian and the leader of “National
Concord” party Aram Harutiunian.
On April 23 the debates brought together one of the “Impeachment” bloc leaders,
the Chief Editor of “Haikakan Zhamanak” daily Nikol Pashinian and the head of
Youth Party of Armenia Sargis Asatrian.
On April 25 the debate participants were the leader of the National Democratic
Party, RA NA deputy Shavarsh Kocharian and the Chairman of the Board of the
Armenian National Movement Ararat Zurabian.
The next “Face of the Country” program will be aired on “Yerkir-Media” on Friday,
April 27, at 21.00.
