MEDIA DIVERSITY INSTITUTE COMPETITION

On January 11 Media Diversity Institute announced a competition among TV companies,
creative groups, production studios of Armenia to prepare and broadcast a TV
program cycle, presenting the views and stances of various political forces
regarding the urgent issues faced by the country in the view of parliamentary
elections-2007. The project is implemented with the support of the UNDP and
Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation-Armenia .

The cycle is expected to be made of 25 TV talk shows, involving leaders of
political parties and blocs, independent experts and audience. The potential
partner will be determined through merit-based competition, by evaluating of
the proposals made in terms of technical and production capacities, the geographic
scope covered, the periodicity and the expected time of broadcasts as well as
willingness to invest own resources into the project.

Proposals can be submitted to MDI office till January 20, 2007 (9 B, Ghazar
Parpetsi str., Yerevan, tel.: +374 10 53 00 67, 53 35 41).
