“PRESS-CLUB” CYCLE: THE INFLUENCE OF ELECTIONS ON THE SOCIETY AND THE NEW BALANCE OF POLITICAL FORCES

On June 6 another “Press Club” show went on the evening air of “Yerkir-Media”
TV company. The program guests, the President of Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasardian
and the Head of Sociology and History Chair of the Yerevan State University,
Professor Hrant Avanesian discussed the impact of the recent parliament election
on the society and the new balance of political forces. In the discussion the
audience in studio took part, too – including the YSU academics and the spokesmen
of several parties that had run for seats at the National Assembly.

The next program of “Press Club” cycle will be aired by “Yerkir-Media” on June
13 at 21.40.

The “Press Club” cycle is produced under a project of Media Diversity Institute,
with the support of the United Nations Development Program, Open Society Institute
Assistance Foundation-Armenia and the British Council Armenia.
