“PRESS-CLUB” CYCLE: CONTROL OF CORRUPTION AND THE NEW RULING COALITION

On June 13 another “Press Club” show went on the evening air of "Yerkir-Media"
TV company. The format of the program has now somewhat changed: the discussions
are held with no audience, the representatives of parties that have entered
the new parliament now face the representatives of NGOs and media as experts.

On June 13 the guest of “Press Club” was the member of parliamentary “Dashnaktsutiun”
faction Ara Nranian, and the experts were the head of Transparency International
Armenia Amalia Kostanian and the Board Chairman of “Asparez” Journalist’s Club
of Gyumri Levon Barseghian. The discussion focused on countering corruption
and “Dashnaktsutiun” signing on June 6 the agreement of cooperation with the
ruling coalition of Republican Party of Armenia and “Bargavach Hayastan” party
(“Prosperous Armenia”).

The next program of “Press Club” cycle will be aired by “Yerkir-Media” on June
20 at 21.40.

The “Press Club” cycle is produced under a project of Media Diversity Institute,
with the support of the United Nations Development Program, Open Society Institute
Assistance Foundation-Armenia and the British Council Armenia.
