On March 31 the final “Press Club” show went on the evening air of “Yerkir-Media”
TV company. The program cycle dealt with the parliamentary elections of 2007.
The program guests, doctor of philosophy, Professor of Yerevan State University
Lyudmila Harutiunian and writer, publicist Vahram Martirosian discussed the
changes in the political breakdown of the country before the elections, in particular,
the refusal of a number of well-known politicians to run in elections, on the
one hand, and the appearance of new parties, on the other.
The “Press Club” cycle was produced under a project of Media Diversity Institute,
with the support of the United Nations Development Program, Open Society Institute
Assistance Foundation-Armenia and the British Council.
