SIX MORE PARTY LEADERS RECEIVED BY “PRESS CLUB+”

Throughout the last week the “Press Club+” program cycle continued on the evening
air of “Yerkir-Media”. As it has been reported, that since March 26 the talk
show has been presenting the stances of the leaders of parties/blocs, running
in elections for the RA National Assembly. Apart from the guests of the “Press
Club+” host Aram Abrahamian, who choose the discussion subject themselves, experts
and audience in the studio take part in the debate, too (see YPC Weekly Newsletter,
March 23-29, 2007).

On March 29 the guest of “Press Club+” was the head of the United Liberal National
Party Levon Martirosian, while the representative of the International Center
of Human Development Ashot Khurshudian and the observer of “168 Zham” newspaper
Ara Galoyan acted as experts. On March 30 the leader of “Heritage” party Raffi
Hovhannisian and experts – the President of Yerevan Press Club Boris Navasardian
and the head of Transparency International-Armenia Amalia Kostanian – took part
in the discussion. On March 31 the program hosted the member of the Supreme
Body of “Dashnaktsutiun” party Armen Rustamian as well as experts
– the head of the Center of Sustainable Human Development Karine Danielian and
the Director of online publication “Lragir.am” Haikazn Ghaghrian. On April 2
participants of “Press Club+” were the leader of “Democratic Way” party Manuk
Gasparian and experts – political scientist Aram Harutiunian and the head of
“Progress” Center of Social Research Marat Atovmian. On April 3 the discussion
was held between the leader of the United Labor Party Gurgen Arsenian and experts
– the Cochairman of the “Yerevan Academy” International Association of Social
Scientists, sociologist Vardan Gevorgian and the head of Center of Right and
Information Lilit Simonian. On April 4 the talk show gave floor to the Chairman
of the People’s Party of Armenia Stepan Demirchian and to experts – the representative
of “European Integration” NGO Manvel Ghumashian and the head of “Progress” Center
of Social Research Marat Atovmian.

Until April 6 “Press Club+” will be aired by “Yerkir-Media” daily at 21.00.

The “Press Club+” cycle is produced under a project of Media Diversity Institute,
with the support of the United Nations Development Program, Open Society Institute
Assistance Foundation-Armenia and the British Council.
