“PEOPLE’S TV” FOUNDATION STARTED FUNDRAISING FOR SUPPORTING “A1+”

The “People’s TV” Foundation (created in mid-October 2010) started the fundraising for supporting “A1+” TV company, which is taking part in the broadcast licensing competitions. As it has been reported, this action will help to determine the potential audience of “A1+”, and consecutively – the social demand on resuming its broadcast (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, October 15-21, 2010). The competitions, announced by the National Commission on Television and Radio on July 2010, are held in Armenia for the first time and are stipulated by the digital switchover from analogue broadcasting. “Meltex” LLC, founder of “A1+” TV company, participates in competition No.11, where his opponent is “ArmNews” LLC (see YPC Weekly Newsletter, October 22-28, 2010).
