From September 28 till October 1 a large group of Russian media representatives and public figures was visiting Yerevan on the occasion of 1700th Anniversary of Christianity adoption in Armenia. The visit was organized by the International Confederation of Journalists’ Unions as well as by an independent Armenian TV company “Prometheus”.
The well-known journalists and leaders of major Russian media were received by the RA President Robert Kocharian, the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. The group also visited the City of Vanadzor, where they were shown around the recently launched joint venture between Armenia and Russia, “Prometheus-Khimprom” enterprise. The guests were also present at the ceremony of opening and sanctifying the office of “Prometheus” joint stock company, after which a round table with the participation of Armenian and Russian journalists was held.
