“FACE OF THE COUNTRY” – PRE-ELECTION DEBATES BETWEEN “HERITAGE” AND “PROSPEROUS ARMENIA”

On February 23 “Yerkri Demky” (“Face of the Country”) cycle of pre-election debates went on the evening air of “Yerkir Media” TV company. The cycle is produced by Yerevan Press Club under “Alternative Resources in Media” project, supported by USAID.

The guests of YPC Expert Gegham Baghdasarian were Armen Martirosian, RA National Assembly MP from “Heritage” faction, and Mikael Melkumian, Political Council member of the “Prosperous Armenia” party. The discussion dealt with upcoming parliamentary elections, comparison of pre-election developments in 2007 and 2012. The debates particularly focused on the entry of Vardan Oskanian, former RA Minister of Foreign Affairs, into “Prosperous Armenia”, and the possible return of RA Second President Robert Kocharian to politics.

The next “Face of the Country” will be aired on “Yerkir Media” on Thursday, March 1 at 18.15 (rerun – on Monday, March 5 at 16.15).
