“E-CLUB” CYCLE: INTERNET AND REGION

On April 3 another program of “E-Club” weekly cycle went on the online broadcast of “A1+” TV company (www.a1plus.am). The “E-Club” is produced by Yerevan Press Club in cooperation with “A1+” TV under “Alternative Resources in Media” project, supported by USAID.

The program was devoted to the advance of Internet in the region, virtual communication between Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran. Particularly, the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, information wars between bloggers and hackers from the two countries were discussed. The news bloc of “E-Club” presented the Google self driving cars for visually impaired people, the launch of LG plastic screens for phones and computers. The ratings of online sources and headlines of last week were presented by Ara Khanumian, Head of “European Movement” NGO. The web sources’ top list was headed by orakarg.am, the economic publication of “Civilitas” Foundation, while the most popular topic was the announcement of the ballot day of Mountainous Karabagh presidential elections – July 19, 2012.

The next “E-Club” will be aired on “A1+” on Tuesday, April 10 at 15.50 (rerun – on Thursday, April 12 at 18.20).
