“ASPAREZ” PRESENTED RESULTS OF MONITORING PTA FIRST CHANNEL ADVERTISING

On October 9 at “Congress” hotel of Yerevan “Asparez” Journalists’ Club of Gyumri presented the results of monitoring the advertising volume and its distribution on the air of First Channel of Public Television of Armenia within May-June 2012. The study is administered under an “Asparez” project, supported by Counterpart International Armenia. According to the monitoring data, in May-June 2012 PTA First Channel violated the current legislation, particularly, it has exceeded the advertising volume. The monitoring results of 2012 were also presented in comparison with the results of May-June 2011. As it has been reported, “Asparez” implemented a similar monitoring in 2011 (see YPC Report “On Freedom of Speech in Armenia” in 2011 at https://ypc.am/about_freedom/ln/eng). The studies are available at “Asparez” website, www.asparez.am.
