On November 4-5 in Yerevan “Media Development for Young Leaders” workshop was
held by the Journalists Union of Armenia and Armenian National Commission for
UNESCO. The purpose of the event was to present the activities of Armenian media
in post-Soviet period, the tasks faced by them, the media legislation, and international
experience of media development to young journalists and leaders of NGOs of
the country. Lectures on the seminar were made by Lord Alfred Dubs and Political
Editor of “The Independent” daily Andy McSmith (United Kingdom).
