The National Commission on Television and Radio cancelled the digital broadcast licensing competition for TV companies of general profile in Vayots Dzor region. The reason for this decision was the absence of any application.
NCTR announced about the competition on June 4, 2012 due to the abolition of the license granted to the founder of “ArpaInform” regional TV company, “ArpaInform” LLC, on January 10, 2011. The ruling on nullifying the license No.155 was rendered by the RA Administrative Court on February 6, 2012 (see details in YPC Weekly Newsletter, March 16-22, 2012).
The competition applications were to be submitted through August 28 – September 7, 2012; however no company applied for digital broadcasting in Vayots Dzor.
