The Time for Freedom of Press annual Award was founded in 2006 by Yerevan Press Club, Media Initiatives Center (former Internews-Armenia) and Journalists Union of Armenia to mark May 3 World Press Freedom Day.
Award winners are rewarded with an honorary certificate and the traditional gift – a watch.
