CEC ADOPTED THE PROCEDURE FOR THE PRE-ELECTION PROMOTION IN THE SECOND ROUND OF PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

On February 22 the RA Central Electoral Commission adopted the procedure for the pre-election promotion of the candidates for RA presidency, participating in the second round of elections. According to the document, the pre-election campaign for the second round will evolve during the period since 0.00 of February 26 till 24.00 March 3 (the voting is to take place on March 5).

By the CEC decision, the pre-election promotion on the air of Public Television, both paid and free, will be aired on 19.00-20.00 every day. Each of the candidates is allocated 15 minutes of free and 25 minutes of paid air time.

The free air time of Public Radio will be provided on 14.30-15.30, while the paid advertising will be broadcast on 21.40-22.40. The quote for the free airtime for each candidate on the Public Radio is equal to 30, while that of paid airtime makes 45 minutes.

CEC also determined the schedule for the air time use by the candidates for the pre-election promotion: the timetables were compiled by sortition.
